Alice MASON MELVIN
I have in my possession and old photograph of Alice MASON MELVIN which was taken at the Whitey Studio in Keene, NH. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Alice appearing to be in her 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Alice and her family:
Alice E. MASON was b. 1873 in Vineland, NJ to Almon Evelyn MASON (1845-1926) and Nancy Judith LANE (1847-1925) who were married 8 Dec 1867 in Cumberland Co., NJ. Alice had one sibling, a brother Charles Francis MASON (b. 1869). Alice married James Thomas MELVIN (1877-1965) on 12 Jun 1902 in Marlborough, NH and they had a daughter, Dorothy E. MELVIN (b. 1917). Alice died 12 May 1952 in Keene, NH and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Keene, NH.
I am hoping to get the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are member of this family or know someone who might be.

Ann died June 1, 2014 after complications from a fall at her home in San Antonio Texas. She never married and had no children.

Jesse Woodrow Melvin of Arkansas, born 6-12-1915 married to Cornelia Tennesse Thurmond of Tennessee B 1-26-1917 son of John Loyd Melvin b 12-3-1989 in Golddust Tennesse and Carrie Melvina Underwood b 4-1-1893 in Dandridge Tennessee. Jesse served in the U S Marine Corp., 2nd Anti-Tank Battalion, 757th Platoon along side of his brother Eddie W commonly known as "Bare". He enlisted on the 2nd day of September 1942 receiving boot camp training at San Diego, CA and qualified as rifle marksman. He served time in New Zealand, Tarawa, Saipan and the Gilbert Islands. Wounded in battle, he received 3 purple hearts, two Presidential Citations and 2 Battle Stars. Upon returning home from battle, Jesse and Cornelia moved their family of three daughters and one son to St. Louis, MO. He passed away on 12-30-1992.

Hugh Mullens,(my granddad) remarried a woman named Barbara. I dont know her maiden name. They did not produce any children together that I know of.
