MY GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS WERE MOOERS. HENRY AND SARAH SUTHERLAND MOOERS. MOST LIKELY OF CONNITICUT USA. SAID TO BE OF SCOTTISH ANCESTRY AND FAMILY HAD BEEN IN AMERICA 100 YEARS. WONDERING IF ANY THING SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO ANYWONE THAT MAY BE RELATED SOME WAY. RUMOR IS ONE OF THESE MOOERS MARRIED A CHIEF'S PRINCESS WHO WAS CHIPPEWA.

It is so important for us to talk to our parents and grandparents, listen, and by all means, record this precious information.
My father passed away at an early age…he was only 55 years old. We did not realize how important he was to our family nor did we realize how much information he carried with him.
Shortly after he passed away…his mother my grandmother developed Alzheimer’s disease and just like that… one side of my family was lost to me forever and there is no way I can ever get that back. We did not insist that they document their life…… and we should have…….because now it’s too late.
I decided that this was not going to happen to the other side of my family and I tried to find someone to document my mothers life and the only option that I could find was the written memoir. I commend her because she was brutally honest…although she wanted to leave her personal history for her family…she was not willing to commit the time nor the effort and she told us up front so….I had to find another way to formally document her past and that’s when we came up with the visual history.
I believe it’s our responsibility as adults to record and document as much family history as possible…the children coming up behind us have no idea how important family heritage will be …they are just starting life..they’re busy learning how to tie their shoes and wondering why the sky’s blue and that’s exactly how it should be …kids tend to grow up too fast…..and they shouldn’t have to concern themselves with the past….they are just starting so it’s our responsibility to make sure it’s available when they are ready. We have the technology to document life today so it’s available 20 30 50 years from now…..so we have to preserve as much personal history as possible.
The visual history offers much more than an oral or written history. With the visual history you’re able to see the person as they speak…. Your able to see their facial expressions…. experience their sense of humor….. their personality… people tend to talk with their hands…I do.... you can learn lot about a person just by observing.
It is so easy to do a personal interview. We have dedicated our business to providing customized interviews so you can document your loved ones.
