his father is jacob nagle, whi is married to honora baum, his father is richard nagle, married to mary catherine baum, and i dont have his father or mothers name. they came from ireland,cork area i believe. i hdo not have any pics but i am looking for some. richard nagle came over to maryland about 1760? he was capture by the indians at clearfield creek and escaped by the indians by out running them at chest creek. he fought in the revolutionary war and served under general washington,1776-1783.
he was an early settlerin mcguire community at loretto. 1826 state of pennsylvania granted him an annuity of $40 dollarsper yearfor his service at valley forge, germantown, long island and elsewhere.he died 1837.i have pic of grave. he fought in revolutionary war with his brothers john and henry.
this is what i know about him through researching net. most of my family settled in cambria county pennsylvania.
were coal miners.
i need photos and any other info i can get for my book i am making. allso i know there is a book called "our elusive caleb gray" author anna
catherine gray lang yoder. and there was suppose to be a book called the "genealogy of richard nagle author dr.edwin dennis baker" i dont know if he made this book.
i am looking for them.
