It consists of a company of the Royal Artillery, Major Dickson in command, Captain Purcell, Lieutenants Noyes, Nind, Grubb, Assistant-Surgeon Stoney, 7 serjeants, 4 corporals, 4 bombardiers, 100 gunners, and 2 trumpeters. The commander and the surgeon are accompanied by their wives. In addition to our population the ship brought two hundred and fifty six cabin, intermediate and steerage passengers. Bell's Life in Victoria and Sporting Chronicle. Melbourne. 9th November 1861. ARRIVAL OF DETACHMENT OF ROYAL ARTILLERY. -The Elizabeth Ann Bright arrived on Friday, with a detachment of Royal Artillery, consisting of Major Dickson, Captain Purcell, Lieutenants Noyes, Lind, and Grubb......., The men are fine stalwart fellows, and appear to to have been, for the most part, recruited from a very respectable class of society. Major Dickson, who is in command, served in the eastern campaign of 1854-5, including the battles of Alma and Balaclava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, in the trenches with the siege-train and at the bombardments of April, and 6th and 17th June. He is decorated with the medal and clasps, and is also a Knight of the Legion of Honour.

PERTH, Friday. The young man who was found dead in the Court Hotel on Wednesday, whose name was stated to be Henry Lloyd, turns out to be named Lionel Hebert Power Noyes. A memorandum in his possesion showed that his wife is living at South Yarra, Melbourne. The West Australian, Perth. 9 September 1890. THE SUDDEN DEATH AT THE COURT HOTEL. THE INQUEST. Yesterday morning, Mr. J. BERRIWILLOCK- Horses drawing a harvester became restless, and collided with another harvester and team. Mr. William Holies tried to hold his team, but was dragged under. He sustained a gash under the arm necessitating 20 stitches, as the sinews were exposed. Sister Noyes of the Bush Nursing Centre gave first aid, and Mr. Holies was removed to the Sea Lake hospital. In 1941, Adelaide was residing at her brother Bert's in Teak street, Caulfield South. WILLIAMSTOWN CHRONICLE 1949. HOSPITAL CHANGE The acting secretary, General Health Branch, Department of Health, notified council that the transfer of the registration of "Corinella"private hospital, Hannan street, Williamstown , from Mrs. F. C. Mitchell to Mrs. N. Balzer and Sister A. C. Noyes has been approved.
