Arthur Edgar Pettifer 1894 - 1965
Arthur Edgar Pettifer of Tongala, Campaspe Shire County, VIC Australia was born on June 6, 1894 in Kyabram to Joseph Smith Pettifer and Elizabeth Eleanor (Hawking) Chaston. He had siblings John Arthur Pettifer, Elizabeth Mary Pettifer, Ethel May (Pettifer) Noble, Ellen Mary (Pettifer) Bellears, Albert Henry Pettifer, and Joseph William Martin Pettifer. He married Elsie Amelia (Adams) Pettifer in 1918, and had children Iris Ethel Pettifer Harris, Evelyn Phyllis Pettifer, and Elinor Merle (Pettifer) Spearpoint. Arthur Pettifer died at age 70 years old on April 11, 1965 in Tongala, and was buried on April 13, 1965 in Kyabram.
