Emily (Essom) Nichols of Hawthorn Australia was born in 1859 in Creswick to William Essom and Ellen Harvey Essom. She had siblings Alice Ellen Stewart Essom, William Edwin Essom, Henry Essom, and Julia Amelia Essom. She married Henry Ebenezer Nichols on June 26, 1883 in Creswick, Victoria, and had children Harold Essom Nichols, Arthur Maybrey Nichols, Leslie George Nichols, and Nellie Emilie Nichols. Emily Nichols died at age 82 years old on October 22, 1942 in Hawthorn, VIC, and was buried at Crematorium in Springvale, City of Greater Dandenong County.
