I was named after my Uncle Frank and his older brother, my Uncle Jim - James (Jim); my name is Frankie Jim. Uncle Frank was born in Teague, Texas; he was the 3d child of Grace Posey Jarrott; his sister (my Mother) Grace Estelle Jarrott-Wilcox of Freer, Texas; brother: James A. Jarrott of DeSoto, Texas; my Uncle Frank was a good-looking man with dark curly hair; he sang a lot and had a very good voice; he played clarinet in the Freer High School Band; he worked as a soda jerk while in high school; I used to go to the drug store where he worked, and he and the other soda jerks would sing songs to me and give me glasses of chocolate milk (called 400s); Uncle Frank also was a good artist and drew a picture of goofy from Mickey Mouse cartoons on the head of a drum toy I had; he was a good young man and he loved his Mother and family very much; he was stationed in Puerto Rico during WWII; he invented several things while he was in the Army; after the war, he came back home to Freer, Texas and married; he went to Texas Tech in Lubbock . I loved my Uncle Frank very much - he helped raise me along with my Uncle Jim , my Mother and my Grandmother, Mrs. Grace Jarrott of Freer, Texas.
