He also had a half brother, Ellis Broadbridge (born 1866). He lived in Hackney, Middlesex, England and he married Catherine Robinson (born 1844) on December 25, 1869 in South Hackney, London, England. The couple then moved to Australia and had a daughter in Victoria, Australia; Catherine Emily Broadbridge (1869-1875).
