Jerry was born in Czechoslovakia on April 15, 1920. He moved to the United States at age 11 in 1931. He moved to Newark, New Jersey (arrived in New York City) and got married most likely in 1944 (due to the fact that the 50th anniversary was stated to have been in 1994). During his teenage years, he didn't go to high school due to him having to produce crops for his father most likely to make money during the Great Depression. As stated below, he went into military service during World War II (specifacally starting on April 6, 1943 at age 22 stationed from Newark, New Jersey). An anecdote told by Bares in 1944 was that before the Normany invasion of D-Day in the United Kingdom was that he broke his arm while playing baseball. This obviously prevented from being involved in the infamous invasion. He returned to the United States in late 1944 and resided with his wife Elizabeth Bares in Little Ferry, New Jersey His first child, Jerry Arthur Bares was born on October 15, 1946. His second child, Betty Ann Carroll (orIginally Bares however was changed when she was married in 1993). Both children moved out during the late 1960s to the 1970s. After which, Jerry and his wife moved to Jackson, New Jersey during the 1980s. Jerry's wife eventually developed Parkinson's disease and died in 1994. Betty had children from 1997-2000. However, Jerry Arthur never got married or had children. Jerry started developing health problems in 2012 (most likely due to old age). This caused him to move from over three hospitals throughout New Jersey in 2013. He finally resided in Ocean County in a nursing home. Jerry Bares is living at 94 as of April 2014.

Jerry Bares of East Northport, Suffolk County, NY was born on October 25, 1913, and died at age 65 years old in February 1979.
