  • Introduction

    Possibly born in Conventry, her father was Irish and her mother was English. Her mother died in Chester, Pennsylvania in 1734. Her husband paid 1753 taxes in East Nantmeal (Which is the 1st town south of Conventry), Chester CO, PA. Her 2nd and 3rd children would have been born there. All her children were born in Pennsylvania. PAX list states her husbands immigration as 1733 as a teen travelling with his parents. John Ewalt (immigrant to America) was born in 1707 in Palatine on the Rhine, Germany. John with his wife Sarah and their children John, Mary, Henry and Rebecca, and John's two brothers Richard and Henry emigrated to America in 1765. They settled near Bedford, Pennsylvania where John and Sarah lived out the rest of their lives and had five more children, Esther, John, Anna, Sarah and Richard. John died in 1792 and Sarah died in 1809, and both are buried in a plot on the family farm near Bedford.
