John with his wife Sarah and their children John, Mary, Henry and Rebecca, and John's two brothers Richard and Henry emigrated to America in 1765. They settled near Bedford, Pennsylvania where John and Sarah lived out the rest of their lives and had five more children, Esther, John, Anna, Sarah and Richard. John died in 1792 and Sarah died in 1809, and both are buried in a plot on the family farm near Bedford.
