Mary Edwards was born in 1828 to William Edwards and Elizabeth Owen, and had a sister Eliza Edwards. She was in a relationship with Eaton William Waters, and had children George Alexander Waters, Eaton William Waters II, Bessie Waters, Anne Rebecca Waters, and Helen Mary Waters. Mary Edwards died at age 85 years old on March 4, 1914 in Waterford Ireland.

Mary Edwards, second daughter of William Edwards (1784-1868), (the last Chamberlain of Waterford) and of his wife Elizabeth (who died 1833), daughter of William Owen, (a glazier who was granted the Freedom of Waterford in 1791) and of his wife Elizabeth. Granddaughter of Eaton Edwards the Second, (1733-1796). Mary was of a generous and kindly disposition, whose campassion for the poor matched that of her husband Eaton William Waters (1819 - 14 Sep 1870). She was widowed in 1870. She died in 1914, a year before the deaths of her two elder surviving children, Bessie, and George, both unmarried. Her younger son, Eaton William married in 1918.
