Ray born July 11, 1896--Pocahontas Pa. 11 brothers sisters. Musical family all boys formed the Bare Band played many places. Rays Army papers came back with the spelling of Bare to Baer , he kept the spelling as did all of the younger brothers. Married Grace Evelyn Baer, Daughter Marybell (1923-2021) Barbara E( 1937 -2015 ) (Ray and Grace moved to Akron in1925. Employed by Firestone ) Grace passed in 1937 , giving birth to Barbara . Ray was asked to have a group sing Crown him with Many Crowns for Easter 1925 at Park UM Church in Kenmore section of Akron , and kept on directing the choir for 45 years. Ray was known for having a very good choir over the years , he loved it. Ray was a Christian man easy going , kind. He also made to scale small thrashing machines out of wood as he recalled his childhood days on the farm. Grandsons Donald and James Lawson, great grandson Gregory James Lawson and great great granddaughter Lily Grace (Rays father was George Bare Mother Barbara Meese ) of Pocahontas PA Ray had many changes to adapt to in life he accepted them and lived day to day as life changed.

Ray born Pocahontas Pa Father George Bare Barbara Meese Bare Ray changed spelling to Baer as that is how his papers came back from the War One 11 brothers all changed name to Baer. Married Grace Baer , daughters Marybell,1923 Barbara 1937 Grace passed giving child birth , Second wife Lula Bell Passed 1958 ,third wife Ethel passed 1978 Firestone employee Choir director 45 years Park UM Church Akron Kenmore -- Came to Akron 1925 ()Musical family Bare band turn of the century) Marybell married Robert Lawson) -grandsons Donald and James Lawson Marybell 98 passed in 2021 Barbara passed 2015 Ray was a kind and easy going Christian man took life as it changed.
