Ruth Stewart of Akron, Summit County, Ohio was born on January 18, 1896, and died at age 74 years old in December 1970.

Married Sudie Lawson around 1918 came to Akron Ohio from Tenn. meeting on a train coming to Akron Sue recall how they were loading coffins on most every stop along the way because of the flu of 1918 . Sue was coming to help her sister in Akron with her children who had the 1918 flu Clarence had played in the minor league baseball i think in Athens Tenn. Two children Robert E and Jack A Each pay day he would bring candy bars for the boys during the 1930s depression days. A good father and husband dropped dead in the night of August 8 1936 leaving the family hurting very much His wife Sue worked hard to finish raising the family , become a will loved teacher. A wonderful giving lady to everyone and went out of her way to help her grandchildren with their young lives. Love to Travel and included her grandchilden Lovely Lady
Wonderful caring person , teacher, she raised two fine sons after her husband Clarence passed away at a young age in1937 she worked hard to get a degree, become a teacher raise her sons Robert and Jack. She was wonderful grandmother to her grandsons going above and beyond to help them in anyway possible . Also always ready for a vacation that included her grandchildren. Words cannot tell how good she was.

Documented By Mr. Hay in the New Republic Newspaper in the 1990s Gerges wife was Barbra Meese died 1918 appendicitis as her son Ray was on the ship returning from World War I George had a Milling and Thrashing operation on the farm , did very well , they had carriages with fringe atop. all the latest victrolas, each boy in the family had a musical Insterment . The Bare Band was formed and they played at many functions in the area. Barbara was known for her love of music ,it has been said she would walk a mile for a musical party or dance. Was also known for her good house keeping , baking and cooking for a family of 11 each night. Washing clothing and hanging them outside in the winter they would freeze. With her large family , she would invite others to dinner after Church at the Greenville Lutheran Church. The children born to them Ray E Bare ( his army papers came to him with the spelling Baer , he kept it and all the Boys did the same , It remain like that today ) Walter , Mary , Ivy, Alvin, Marshal, John, Lilly,, Tillie, Emogene, Ralph (out of order) All but Ray remined in the area till there deaths Ray and his wife Grace E Baer came to Akron ,Ray returned home often. He like to come home in August when the Greenville Lutheran Church Picnic was going on. It was a big event most all of the community showed up and many stories of the old days were told. ( George married Annie Shrunk Baker after Barbara died , they had a long marriage. She is the only Grandmother that the grandchildren new. I have heard of the fun times my Mother Mary bell (Rays Daughter and her cousin Betty Baer had visiting the farm as children ) Annie Baker Baer died in 1958) Photo of George Bare George Bare

George Bare Family Pocahontas Pa. From all that i have heard over the years Barbra was and excellent home maker with a family of 11 , baking bread pies and doing laundry for all ,was a real task Grandfather Ray use to say how they would bring the clothing in frozen to be ironed and folded With all her clan ,she would invited others in on Sunday after Greenville Lutheran Church, It has been said when young she would walk a mile to a musical event or dance; She enjoyed people and having a good time
