Jack was a wonderful man He was my Uncle. His parents were Clarence Garland Lawson , and Sue Plumber Lawson Brother Robert E Lawson The family came to Akron in 1918 . I believe from Athens Tenn and South Pittsburg . Both young boys lost their father in 1936 and Sue had to take hold and raise them . Both boys served in World war 2 . Jack became a well liked teacher for Springfield Local schools Robert a Postman Robert Married Marybell Baer , two sons Donald R and James R Jacks health was not as good due to the war and breathing difficulties that became more prominent with age. Jack took a disability from school and died at 56 years old while on vacation in Tucson AZ in 1981 Robert died in 1986 Mother Sue 1995 at 97 Marybell died 2021 at 98 Photo of Jack Lawson Jack Lawson

Bruce was born to Harry and Mary Lee Simpson of Akron Ohio. Sisters Wilmarth Simpson Heupel Norris Simpson Rodehaver Ruth Simpson , Doolittle ( Darwood ? Bruce was an intelligent man with a plan for most things in life. Married Leona Jarvis 1945 Moved to California in the early 1950s. Two foster children around 1960 I cant recall the names. married again Ruth from California Later in the 1990s he returned to Akron Ohio again

Married Sudie Lawson around 1918 came to Akron Ohio from Tenn. meeting on a train coming to Akron Sue recall how they were loading coffins on most every stop along the way because of the flu of 1918 . Sue was coming to help her sister in Akron with her children who had the 1918 flu Clarence had played in the minor league baseball i think in Athens Tenn. Two children Robert E and Jack A Each pay day he would bring candy bars for the boys during the 1930s depression days. A good father and husband dropped dead in the night of August 8 1936 leaving the family hurting very much His wife Sue worked hard to finish raising the family , become a will loved teacher. A wonderful giving lady to everyone and went out of her way to help her grandchildren with their young lives. Love to Travel and included her grandchilden Lovely Lady

Wonderful caring person , teacher, she raised two fine sons after her husband Clarence passed away at a young age in1937 she worked hard to get a degree, become a teacher raise her sons Robert and Jack. She was wonderful grandmother to her grandsons going above and beyond to help them in anyway possible . Also always ready for a vacation that included her grandchildren. Words cannot tell how good she was.

Father died Aug 1937 Mother Sue struggled at first to raise two young boy during depression days later becoming a teacher Both boys served World War 11 Robert worked for Akron transportation then became a Postman retiring 1977, He married Marybell Baer two children Donald R 1947 and James R 1949 Robert passed away Dec 22, 1986 His wife passed away Dec 21, 2021. Wonderful loving parents

Georges father France Baer -- Wife Cass Lowrey Baer France died in the well know Boiler explosion of 1903 in the Pocahontas area. Documented By Mr. Hay in the New Republic Newspaper in the 1990s Gerges wife was Barbra Meese died 1918 appendicitis as her son Ray was on the ship returning from World War I George had a Milling and Thrashing operation on the farm , did very well , they had carriages with fringe atop. all the latest victrolas, each boy in the family had a musical Insterment . The Bare Band was formed and they played at many functions in the area. Barbara was known for her love of music ,it has been said she would walk a mile for a musical party or dance. Was also known for her good house keeping , baking and cooking for a family of 11 each night. Washing clothing and hanging them outside in the winter they would freeze. With her large family , she would invite others to dinner after Church at the Greenville Lutheran Church. The children born to them Ray E Bare ( his army papers came to him with the spelling Baer , he kept it and all the Boys did the same , It remain like that today ) Walter , Mary , Ivy, Alvin, Marshal, John, Lilly,, Tillie, Emogene, Ralph (out of order) All but Ray remined in the area till there deaths Ray and his wife Grace E Baer came to Akron ,Ray returned home often. He like to come home in August when the Greenville Lutheran Church Picnic was going on. It was a big event most all of the community showed up and many stories of the old days were told. ( George married Annie Shrunk Baker after Barbara died , they had a long marriage. She is the only Grandmother that the grandchildren new. I have heard of the fun times my Mother Mary bell (Rays Daughter and her cousin Betty Baer had visiting the farm as children ) Annie Baker Baer died in 1958) Photo of George Bare George Bare

George Bare Family Pocahontas Pa. From all that i have heard over the years Barbra was and excellent home maker with a family of 11 , baking bread pies and doing laundry for all ,was a real task Grandfather Ray use to say how they would bring the clothing in frozen to be ironed and folded With all her clan ,she would invited others in on Sunday after Greenville Lutheran Church, It has been said when young she would walk a mile to a musical event or dance; She enjoyed people and having a good time

Robert E Lawson (1921-1986) was the son of Clarence Garland Lawson , who passed away Aug 9th 1936, Leaving his mother Sue Plumber Lawson (1898-1995) and his brother Jack A Lawson (!925-1981) Lived in Akron (Kenmore sec) his entire life. Married Marybell Baer Lawson 1947 raised two Sons Donald Ray ,and James Robert. Worked at the Kenmore Post Office . Well known as a Gentlemen , Christian . He loved sports Learned from his dad. He was a good conversation maker, and well liked in the area. His sudden death left his family in shock and sadness on Dec 22, 1986 . Marybell never remarried , lived to be 98 , died with 5 hrs of the same day Dec 21,2021 Both are Loved and missed by family and many others. Burial for both Greenlawn of Akron, Ohio

Ray born July 11, 1896--Pocahontas Pa. 11 brothers sisters. Musical family all boys formed the Bare Band played many places. Rays Army papers came back with the spelling of Bare to Baer , he kept the spelling as did all of the younger brothers. Married Grace Evelyn Baer, Daughter Marybell (1923-2021) Barbara E( 1937 -2015 ) (Ray and Grace moved to Akron in1925. Employed by Firestone ) Grace passed in 1937 , giving birth to Barbara . Ray was asked to have a group sing Crown him with Many Crowns for Easter 1925 at Park UM Church in Kenmore section of Akron , and kept on directing the choir for 45 years. Ray was known for having a very good choir over the years , he loved it. Ray was a Christian man easy going , kind. He also made to scale small thrashing machines out of wood as he recalled his childhood days on the farm. Grandsons Donald and James Lawson, great grandson Gregory James Lawson and great great granddaughter Lily Grace (Rays father was George Bare Mother Barbara Meese ) of Pocahontas PA Ray had many changes to adapt to in life he accepted them and lived day to day as life changed.

Ray born Pocahontas Pa Father George Bare Barbara Meese Bare Ray changed spelling to Baer as that is how his papers came back from the War One 11 brothers all changed name to Baer. Married Grace Baer , daughters Marybell,1923 Barbara 1937 Grace passed giving child birth , Second wife Lula Bell Passed 1958 ,third wife Ethel passed 1978 Firestone employee Choir director 45 years Park UM Church Akron Kenmore -- Came to Akron 1925 ()Musical family Bare band turn of the century) Marybell married Robert Lawson) -grandsons Donald and James Lawson Marybell 98 passed in 2021 Barbara passed 2015 Ray was a kind and easy going Christian man took life as it changed.
