When I was a child, I'd spend time at Papa's house, where he lived with his wife, Dolores Nell "Vaughn" Wagnon (Meemee). He spent most of his time laying on the living room couch, with a beer and a cigarette, in hand. He rarely spoke, but his demeanor was kind. One day, when I was around six years old, we were watching "Jerry Springer" together. He had been silent for the majority of the episode. Then he suddenly sang out, in a rather melodious voice, "Titties, titties, they got those titties!" Then he followed that little song with, "Doctors can do anything nowadays. They can stick a corn cob up yer a** if you want 'em to." He was referring to the breast implants, sported by the female guests, on the show. Since he rarely spoke, this memory really stuck out to me. I remember that he was a very funny man with an excellent sense of humor. I laughed so hard that day, after all. The 90's was an amazing time to grow up. We saw the rise of "The Simpsons" and it was a household name in my family. Sunday was the only time we would all gather around the television set to see the new episodes, or even reruns. I miss Papa. He died on St. Patrick's Day, 2007. His funeral service was held at Pace Stancil in Cleveland, Texas.

Ivy Dee Wagnon was my grandfather, and he's listed as a female, on this site, for some reason. I'm having trouble changing that detail.
