Introduction

Abraham James "Abe" Nickson is the son of Frederick Henry Nickson (1834-1913) and Catherine "Kate" Sullivan (1839-1903). He was born in 1865 in Bendigo, Australia and had siblings Frederick Lorenzo (1860-1915), Henry Frederick "Harry" (1862-1931), John William (1864-1866), William John (1869-1951), Martha Gladys Maude (1871-1937), James Joseph (1872-1873), Thomas Alfred (1874-1949), Louisa (1877-1957), and John Edward Nickson (1879-1882). He married Margaret Ligouria Barrett (1872-1906) on January 6, 1893 in Fitzroy North, Victoria, Australia at the St. Bridgid's Roman Catholic Church. They had children together Beryl Baretta (1894-1962), Doris Veronica (1896-1957), and Mona Teresa Nickson (born 1900). The couple later divorced and in 1935, Abe married Roasline Eileen Veronica "Rose" Cremean (1886-1972).
