Abram Seth Fancher Jr. was born on August 17, 1884 in Summit, Schoharie County, New York United States to Abraham Seth Fancer, Sr. and Louisa Sperbeck, and had siblings Edith Fancher, Emmett J. Fancher, Cora Fancher, Hiram Fancher, Martha Fancher, and John Fancher. He was in a relationship with Mary Morrison, and had children Harmon Morrison Fancher, Edith Fancher, and Pauline Fancher. Abram Fancher died at age 28 years old on September 1, 1912 in Oneonta, Otsego County, and was buried at Charlotteville Cemetery in Charlotteville, Schoharie County.

    Birth: 1884 Death: 1912 "Abram S. Fancher, who has been suffering from tuberculosis for a year and more, passed away at his home in Oneonta Sunday morning, after a brave fight against the disease. Prayer was said at the home for the family Wednesday morning, at 8:30 o'clock, by Rev. T. F. Hall, D.D., of the Methodist Episcopal church of which Mr. Fancher was a member and the body was taken to Charlott(e)ville, the old home of Mrs. Fancher, where more extended services were held from the Methodist Episcopal church at 1 p. m., Dr. Hall officiating, with interment in the village cemetery there. Mr. Fancher was born at Summit, August 17, 1884, a son of the late Abram Seth Fancher Sr., but for the past eleven years the deceased has resided in Oneonta. He was formerly employed in the baggage room at the D. & H. station here and later and for several years did a transfer business handling the United States mail for a time. Afterward he was employed by the National Express company. For the past year he has been in failing health and retired. Mr. Fancher was a member of Sentennial lodge I. O. O. F., and of the local Maccabees, and was well liked by all who knew him." ["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), Sept. 6, 1912, p. 7]
