She married William Alexander Smith on November 12, 1912 in Trentham, Victoria Australia, and they were married until death separated them. She had a child Bernie Smith. Ada Smith died on June 24, 1970, and was buried at Trentham Cemetery, Greendale Trentham Forest Road, in Trentham, Hepburn Shire County, VIC Australia.
