Adam, age 13, was found dead Tuesday, February 18, 1997, in a garbage dumpster at Hazel Dell Park in Vancouver, Washington.     ADAM C. LACHNEY Vancouver A Jason Lee Middle School seventh-grader, Adam Christopher Lachney, 13, was found dead Tuesday, February 18, 1997, in a garbage Dumpster at Hazel Dell Park. A celbration of life service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Minnehaha Church of Christ, followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Vancouver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Adam was born October 25, 1983, in Vancouver and had lived in Vancouver all his life. He attended Minnehaha Elementary, Gaiser Middle School and Jason Lee. His father said he was an artistic and good-natured boy. Adam had received first-place trophies for BMX bicycle motocross racing in Oregon City. He loved his cat, Angus. He is survived by his father, Roger, at home; his mother, Tami Martin of Vancouver; a brother, Alex Lachney of Vancouver; two half brothers, Shawn Martin and Josh Martin, both of Vancouver; two sisters, Andelia Lachney and Rachelle Lachney, both of Vancouver; and grandparents Jeannine and George Julian of Kelson, Paul Lachney of Battle Ground and Millie and Larry Martin of Vancouver. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adam Lachney Memorial Fun, in car of First Independent Bank, Vancouver.
