Adam James Schelsky Jr of Benton, Franklin County, IL was born on November 17, 1944 to Pearl Velester (Abbott) Schelsky and Adam James Schelsky Sr. He had siblings Janet (Schelsky) Parker, Joe Arnold Schelsky, Joyce Blondell Watkins, Mary Schelsky, Edith Schelsky, and Rusty Velester Schelsky. He married Mamie Catherine (Morris) Schelsky and they later divorced. He had children James Glen Schelsky, Patricia Pearl Schelsky, Tanya Lynn (Schelsky) Melson, Adam Joseph Schelsky, and Martin Lou Schelsky. Adam Schelsky died at age 60 years old on March 29, 2005.

Bill, was signed into law, pushed through by the veteran's organizations.
