Agnes Elizabeth (Marsden) Fizelle 1867 - 1951

Agnes Elizabeth (Marsden) Fizelle was born in 1867 to George Charles Marsden and Agnes McLean, and had a sister Euphemia "Effie" (Marsden) Mozar. She married Hubert George Fizelle, and they were married until death separated them. She had children Hubert Vere Fizelle, George Basil Roy Fizelle, Reginald Cecil Fizelle, Ella Marsden Fizelle, Kenneth Fizelle, Geoffrey Fizelle, and Gwendoline Fizelle. Agnes Fizelle died at age 84 years old in 1951.

In 1921, Agnes was 54 years old when on November 11th, the first burial was held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. The body of an unknown soldier - selected by Army Sgt. Edward F. Younger who was highly decorated for valor and received the Distinguished Service Cross in "The Great War" - was brought back from France (World War 1) and placed in the newly completed tomb. President Warren G. Harding officiated at the interment ceremonies.
