He was known nearly unanimously as the best resort pool deck suntan lotion salesman of all time. He was a leader and a great mentor to everyone he worked with at Caribbean Pacific International, an early pioneering company in all-natural sun and skincare products. He then started his own mattress store and sold the store after a number of successful years. Al is best remembered for his work at Caribbean Pacific, where he served as a Senior Sales Associate in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas USVI, Orlando and Marco Island, Florida and in the early days in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and became a bit of a cult legend among people in this niche industry.

Al loved his family very much, his wife Tammy, daughter Christine, son Nick, and his brother Johnny. He was also like a brother to his close friends Ken and Neal Hamner.
