Jorden's musical talent also extended to arranging, and he worked on a number of recordings for various artists throughout his career. However, Jorden is perhaps best known for his brief marriage to the legendary actress and singer, Doris Day. Their marriage was tumultuous and ended in divorce after just two years, but their son Terry Melcher went on to become a successful music producer. He played on the soundtracks for several films, including "The Glenn Miller Story" and "Kiss Me Kate."
