My Father
My memories are too few and short for the importance of this person in my life. He is my Father and in the short time I knew him was one of the largest people I have known. I once told him I liked pinball and the next time I visited him he had 3 machines in his basement. I played all day with my father. He loved the outdoors. He once took me camping and it rained but one of his friends had sprayed the tent with bug spray which defeated the waterproofing of the canvas so we slept in the van. He once took me to get an old time picture taken with him. I was such a brat that I cried because they were putting clothes on me that didn’t fit so my father had an old time picture with him in old time clothes and me in my Oshkosh overalls. I wish I had that picture. He was a father who took time for the little things. I remember building a Lincoln log cabin with him and playing old maid. He was a bright light in my life. His life was unfortunately cut short. I’m fortunate to have such wonderful memories of my father. He is and was greatly missed.
