He had siblings Alfred William Dickason, Clara Rhoda Dickason, Leonard Dickason, Alice Lawrence Dickason, and Ada Elizabeth Dickason. He married Wilhelmina Elizabeth (Tweddle) Dickason in 1916, and had a child Paul James Dickason. Alan Dickason died at age 65 years old in 1950 in Malvern East, City of Stonnington County.
