    Albert Edward Gschwender was born to Charles Jacob Gschwender (1887-1953) and Anna Marie Horn (1888-1933) and had six brothers and two sisters including Charles Edward (1917-2003), William Roger (born 1919), Joseph Jacob (1920-2012), Victor (1923-2008), Anna Marie Zimmerman (1929-2011), and Richard Lawrence Gschwender (1930-2010). Albert married Marilyn Ruth Ruble (1927-2016) on June 12th 1948 in Butler County Ohio, and they had two sons and a daughter.

    The following appeared in the Hamilton Journal News on January 10th 2006: GSCHWENDER, ALBERT "AL" age 81, a resident of Fairfield, Ohio and Lakeland Florida, passed away on 5 January 2006. Al was born in Sylvania Ohio on 23~October~1924,the son of Charles and Anna [Horn] Gschwender. He retired on 1~February~1~1982 after 32 years of service with Fisher Body. Al was a member of UAW 233. Survivors include his wife of nearly 58 years, Marilyn Gschwender, two sons, James [Patty] and Jeffrey [Marie] Gschwender and one daughter Jenny [Jeff] Stinger all of Hamilton Ohio four grandchildren, Brian of Va, Tonya, Nicole of Hamilton Ohio and Paul of Fla. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Brandon, Alexis, Kyle and Kaylee of Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers, Victor[Doris] Gschwender, Joseph[Louise] Gschwender, and Richard Gschwender, two sisters Martha[Gordon] Kegley and Anna Zimmerman; two sisters~in~law Freda Gschwender and Virginia Bekemeier and other family members. He was preceded in death by three brothers an infant brother Alfred born 2~March~1933 and died 3~March~1933, Charles "Bob" and William Gschwender, two brothers~in~law Al Bekemeier, and John Zimmerman. Prayer Services will be at 10:15 A.M. on Friday, 13~January 13~2006, at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 South 3rd Street, Hamilton Ohio followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m.on Friday at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial is in St Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

In 1924, in the year that Albert E Gschwender was born, J. Edgar Hoover, at the age of 29, was appointed the sixth director of the Bureau of Investigation by Calvin Coolidge (which later became the Federal Bureau of Investigation). The Bureau had approximately 650 employees, including 441 Special Agents. A former employee of the Justice Department, Hoover accepted his new position on the proviso that the bureau was to be completely divorced from politics and that the director report only to the attorney general.

In 1963, at the age of 39 years old, Albert was alive when the British Secretary of War, 46 year old John Profumo ,was forced to resign when he lied about an affair with 19 year old Christine Keeler. Keeler was also involved with the Soviet naval attaché and charges of espionage were feared. No proof of spying was ever found.
