At the age of 19, he registered for the draft on June 30, 1942, in St Louis, Missouri, USA. On June 28, 1943, Albert Nardoni enlisted in the military at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. He joined the Selectees (Enlisted Men) component with the rank of Private. His military serial number was 37617533. He held the rank of Tec 5 (Technician 5th Grade) in the US Army during World War II.

In 1923, in the year that Albert Nardoni was born, on August 2, President Warren G. Harding died in office, apparently of a heart attack. He was staying at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco after completing a nationwide tour. Suffering from cramps, indigestion, a fever and shortness of breath, his doctor thought he had food poisoning. After several days of being ill, he suddenly shuddered, slumped over, and died. There were rumors of foul play (some thought that his wife had poisoned him because of his affairs) but no evidence has ever been found.

In 1951, at the age of 28 years old, Albert was alive when on April 5th, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg (husband and wife) were sentenced to death for treason. They were executed on June 19th.
