    Albert Ray Browning was born on June 24, 1905 to parents Charles Thomas Browning and Martha Frances Phillips. His mother Martha was born on March 18, 1869 in Carroll County, Kentucky, USA and grew up in Rockcastle, Kentucky, USA. She married Charles on December 24, 1890 in Smithfield, Henry County KY. The couple later moved to Iowa in the 1900's residing in Lincoln, Douglas, and Boyer Iowa before moving to Nebraska in the 1930's where they lived in Platford and Omaha. Martha passed away in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA in 1958. His father Charles was born on January 15, 1870 in Henry, Kentucky. He married Martha in 1890 and worked as a farmer in Lincoln, Harrison, Iowa. He passed away on February 25, 1956 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.

    Albert grew up with siblings John Carl Browning (1891-1965), Richard A "Dick" Browning (1894-1972), and Lena Morris Browning (1901-1973). He completed at least three years of high school.

    Albert married Anna E Jones (1906–) on August 12, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa, USA. Together they had children including James R Browning and Richard R Browning. Their eldest son James was born on October 21, 1925 in Nebraska and grew up in La Cygne, Linn, Kansas and Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska. He later moved to California in the 1940's and resided in Oakland, Alameda, California, USA. He was married to Virginia May "Jean" Blankenship (1924-1978) and they were parents to children Richard Roy Browning (1950-1984) and Susan A Browning (1956-2002). He passed away on April 9, 1968 in Alameda, California. Their son Richard was born on November 6, 1925 in Nebraska and also grew up in La Cygne, Linn, Kansas and Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska. Along with his brother, he also later moved to California in the 1940's and resided in Oakland, Alameda, California, USA. Richard served in the US Navy. He passed away on October 2, 1948 in Alameda, California.
