Albert Wray Bergquist is the son of William C Bergquist (1903-1956) and Margaret Adelaide Roskopf (1906-1995). He was born on June 12, 1926 and had siblings Geraldine Myrna (1928-2013) and Lowell Lee Bergquist (1933-1972). He married Shirlee Jean Knutson (1930-2013) on August 12, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. The couple later divorced.
