  • Introduction

    Alberta T Denmarsh's father was Joseph F Denmarsh and her mother was Mary Polinsky. When Alberta was 7 years old, she was living in Cleveland, Ohio, with her parents and siblings Joseph and Loretta. Dad was working as an insurance agent. During World War II, Alberta served in the military. She was in Company "D", Women's Reserve Battalion, at Camp Pendelton, California. By the age of 27, Alberta was still living at home with siblings Joseph, Loretta, and Carol. Dad Joseph was now a proprietor at a sheet metal contractor and Alberta was working in the cost department as a clerk in "meter manufacturing". Brother Joseph was working in sheet metal and sister Loretta was a key punch operator in the building business. There is no record of Alberta having been married.
