He was in a relationship with Catherine (Hayley) Lever, and had children Richard Hayley Lever, Albion Charles Augustus Lever, and Claude Algernon Lever. Albion Lever died at age 71 years old on February 15, 1919 in Millswood, City of Unley County, South Australia, and was buried at North Road Cemetery Cemetery Ave, in Nailsworth, City of Prospect County, SA.
