Setting the record straight.
Alene Moseley Wilson Fadhl was my mother. Some of the details in her obituary are not true. She was actually born in Arkansas, not Oklahoma. She told me that. I believe her family moved there from Oklahoma for a time when my grandpa worked in Arkansas for a time. They weren't there for long. As for the number of grandchildren she had, it wasn't 12. It was six. My brother has two and I four. She also moved to California in 1947. And didn't move to Long Beach until 1956 or '57. She met John Fadhl in Long Beach. She and John's sister were next door neighbors and friends. My mother was planning a trip to Europe at the time of her death. Her friends told me she modeled a new coat for that trip the evening before she had a stroke. She also won a golf tournament in Miles City the day before. I've always felt my mother went out a winner!
