He married Eliza Smith Christie in 1899, and had children Evelyn Mary Christie, Margaret Ruby Christie, Irene Alexandra Christie, Gerte Leonore Christie, Aileen Marjorie Christie, Victor Alexander Christie, Kathleen Florence Christie, Edgar Charles Christie, Dorothy Jean Christie, Isabella Joyce Christie, and Phyllis Lorraine Christie. Alexander Christie died at age 83 years old on September 16, 1958 in Ballarat, City of Ballarat County.

They charged $13.50 per dozen jeans.
