Alfred Halbardier of San Antonio, Bexar County, TX was born on December 11, 1915, and was the father of Barbara halbarier jendrusch, Mary Alice (Halbardier) Haecker, and Linda katherine halbardier. Alfred Halbardier died at age 72 years old on March 27, 1988, and was buried at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery Section 8A Site 1640 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, in San Antonio.

In 1915, in the year that Alfred Halbardier was born, Audrey Munson, playing a model for a sculptor in the film "Inspiration", became the first actress to shed her clothes on screen. Fearing that banning the film would mean that censors would also have to "ban Renaissance art" the film was released, with Munson in the nude scenes and a stand-in doing the acting. (Munson had previously been "America's First Supermodel" and posed nude as the model for many famous artworks.) The film was a hit with audiences.

In 1929, Alfred was only 14 years old when the St. Valentine's Day Massacre happened on February 14th. In Chicago, seven men from the North Side Irish gang were gunned down by Al Capone's South Side Italian gang at the garage at 2122 North Clark Street. Al Capone was making a successful move to take over Chicago's organized crime. But the St. Valentine's Day massacre also resulted in a public outcry against all gangsters.
