Alfred James Rowley of Maffra, Wellington Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1875 in Heyfield to Catherine Charlotte Thomas and Thomas Rowley. He had siblings Alice Jane (Rowley) Lord, Agnes Ellen Rowley, Susan Rowley, Ethel Mary (Rowley) Knight, William Henry Rowley, Gertrude Emiline (Rowley) Skeels, John Brady Rowley, and Thomas Rowley. He married Florence Barbara Roddan Anderson in 1899, and had children Leslie Alfred Thomas Rowley, Florence Lillian Gertrude Rowley, Myrtle Phyllis Muriel Rowley, Madge Millicent May Rowley, Percy Edgar Lancelot Rowley, Doris Evelyn Isabelle Rowley, Colin James Rowley, Archibald Ernest Rowley, and Nancy Ethel Vere Rowley. Alfred Rowley died at age 66 years old on September 8, 1942 in Maffra.
