He had siblings John Jolliffe, Edwin Jolliffe, and Thomas Chamberlain Jolliffe. He married Sarah Elizabeth Absalom in 1898, and had children Cecil Edwin Jolliffe and Rose Letitia Jolliffe Green. Alfred Jolliffe died at age 60 years old on March 25, 1926 in Malvern, City of Stonnington County.
