    Alfred Lee Schindel, 52, of Stafford County died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1952, in Springfield to the late Scott and Lovely Schindel.Mr. Schindel owned Al's Stripping and Furniture Repair. He was a loving husband, father and pa-pa.He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ressa Schindel; a daughter, Michelle Lynn Gruber and her husband, Stanley, of Fredericksburg; a grandson, Devin Lee Gruber; three brothers, Leonard Schindel of King George, George Schindel of Fairfax and Raymond Schindel of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Rose Bailey of Alexandria; and numerous nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Rick Ritchie officiating.The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue Suite 210, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
