Alice Leone Moats 1942
Alice Leone Moats in 1942. You can tell that this was taken in the 1940's by her fashion - especially the hat!
Alice Leone Moats was a American journalist. Although she was born in Mexico, her parents were American. She attended schools in Mexico City, Rome, and Paris, as well as Manhattan and North Carolina. But she pursued her career in the U.S. Her first book was entitled No Nice Girl Swears and was a tongue in cheek book of etiquette. She was also a foreign correspondent and journalist.
