Alma Ebel of Redwood City, San Mateo County, California was born on August 15, 1890 to Charles Julius Rausch and Meta Helen Mohr. She married William George Ebel, and had children Melvin Louis Ebel, Earl Elmer Ebel, and Helen Ebel Lee. Alma Ebel died at age 85 years old in November 1975.

She was my husband's grandmother. She and her husband, Bill, lived with my husband's parents; Florence and Melvin Ebel. My husband and his sister called them "Ma and Pa" (probably what they heard their parents call them). Bill had died before I joined the family. Alma died shortly after I told her I was expecting my first child. She was 85.
