    Son of George Francis Rhoan and Candelaria Ydierte. Graduated in 1920 in Quincy, Plumas, CA. Husband of Amy Harrison, together in 1930 and married 08 Apr 1944 in Mariposa. Father of four or five including: * Joseph Alfred Rhoan Sr 1931-2012 * George Albert Rhoan 1937-unk * Patrick Rhoan * Beatress Phillips 1938-unk From yosemite.ca.us: Born May 25, 1906, near Bull Creek, Mariposa County. He belonged to the Mariposa tribe. He is the grandson of Maria Lebrado. His father was George Rhoan, his mother was Candelaria. Alvin attended school at Greenville Indian School, in Plumas County, and the Sherman Indian School in Riverside, California. He married Amy Harrison of Mono Lake, a Piute, in 1930. hey had four children. Joe is in the U. S. Air Corps. Patrick is in the Air Transport Service U.S. Army. George lives in Fresno, California. Beatress married to Jim Phillips. His wife, Amy Harrison, was born January 29, 1910, near Mono Lake; her mother was Ida Tom. Brothers George and Alvin are listed in the Plumas Independent 17 Jun 1920 p4c1 as having attended and graduated from the US Indian Mission School at Greenville. The boys represented the Digger tribe. Alvin has lived and worked most of his life in Yosemite Park, in the road department and now is Operator General. They live in Wawona. Amy worked at the Wawona Hotel. Alvin retired in 1965, now making their home near Mariposa.
