I served in the Air Force with Amos. We were both B-52 gunners during the Vietnam War. We went to Air Force Survival School together at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington state. Then we went to Air Force Gunnery School at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, CA. During this time in 1971 we spent most of everyday together in various classes and training events. Amos was a very pleasant person to be around and was very entertaining with his stories of New York. We became good friends.
