He was white. His father Amos witter saxton,sr was born on February 23, 1876 in Shawnee, Ohio and passed away in 1944 in Buckeye, Lea, New Mexico. Amos' parents, Amos Jr's paternal grandparents, were Jeremiah Wesley Saxton (1850-1923) of Lewisburg, PA and Sarah Jane Epley Saxton (1845-1934) of Ohio. Amos Jr's mother, Irene sanders cook, was born on September 24, unsure what year, and passed away on September 20, 1928 in Ripley, Oklahoma of pneumonia from typhoid fever. Irene was his Amos' fathers second marriage. His first wife was Nancy Mcquaid. Nancy and their 3 daughters died in a Breckenridge, Texas house fire in December of 1923.

Amos was described as having a freckled complexion, red hair, and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. His next of kin was listed as Edward A. Cook. He then enlisted in the United States Army on October 25, 1945 in Buffalo, New York with Military serial#: 42202930 as a Private.

Amos Saxton Jr was born to Amos Witter Saxton, sr. and Irene Cook Sanders on October 4th, 1927 in Ripley, Oklahoma. Amos Jr. had one sister and three half-sisters: Genevieve (1906 - 1923); Alice Cathlene (1910 - 1923); and Ella Esther (1911 - 1923). His half- sisters died in a house fire in 1923, along with their mother. In Amos Jr.'s mother's obituary, it is said that she was survived by five children: three girls and two boys: Lillian, Alpha, Anna, Eddie and Amos Jr. There is no record of these children, except for Amos. Amos witter saxton,jr

Year of birth 1927 in oklahoma...his mother passed away the following year in 1928 due 2 pneumonia from typhoid fever...this was his father 2nd marriage which resulted in his 2nd wife early death after the loss of his 1st wife nancy mcquaid and their 3 daughters deaths in a breakenridge,tx housefire in dec 1923..his father amos,sr passed away in 1944 ...and all i know is amos,jr occasionally came to mckean co,pa to visit his aunt and paternal grandmother w/his dad where sarah jane epley saxton lived til she passed in 1934...i am looking for info as where amos witter saxton,jr is buried as he went into the service and apparently made a lifetime career out of it and remained,apparently,over in germany....thank you..i am the youngest granddaughter 2 amos witter saxton,jr's FIRST COUSIN margaret eloise perry barnes,daughter of his aunt sadie mae saxton perry,who was the sister of his father amos witter saxton,sr who he passed away in 1944 in buckeye,new mexico and buried alongside his 1st wife and the 3 daughters he tragically lost in a december 1923 texas housefire...any info anybody has i would appreciate it...😊
