Amy E, Streight married Glenn E. Thiessen (1900 - 1965) and they had sons Glenn and Gordon and daughters Donna and Jean. Amy was survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

At the 11th Academy Awards in February 1939, Walt Disney won an Academy Honorary Award - a full-size Oscar statuette and seven miniature ones - for Snow White.
