Andrew grew up on a farm in Felch, Mi. His father was John, and his mother was Hilma. He had 10 siblings, Andrew was the oldest. He was enlisted during WWI , but did not go overseas as the war ended. He came back to Michigan, and married Rodda / Rhoda Anderson. They had four sons, Andrew, Ellsworth, Peter, and David. Andrew's wife died young at the age of 47. After the death of his wife, Andrew spent the rest of his life drinking. He retired to Ishpeming, MI. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he went to CA, and died under the care of his son Andrew.
