Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Andrew

There is a US Marine by this same name and age mentioned in a book named “Islands of the Damned” (page 90 of the hardback) by R. V. Burgin. (A Marine showcased in the HBO Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg series “The Pacific”). They were on a combat patrol on the island of New Britain (just East of the Cape Gloucester area) in the Pacific in WWII. A member of their US Marine Patrol, Pfc. Andrew Geglein drowned after stepping off in a deep spot of a stream they were crossing and got trapped under a fallen tree and drowned. I am almost sure that these two are the same man. Rest In Peace Sir. Semper Fi Marine.
