He married Ethel May "Catherine" Hassett, and had children Leslie George Andrew Taig, James Edgar Taig, Ida Margaret Taig, Elsie May Taig, David Claude Taig, Henry Walter Taig, and Albert William Taig. Andrew Taig died at age 37 years old on August 17, 1921 in Inglewood.
