Angela Straeter was born May 29th 1891 in Aachen Germany, the daughter of the late Clemens and Elizabeth (Roderburg) Straeter. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Convent in the Netherlands. She studied art in Aachen and Berlin. She came to the United States in 1923 and became a citizen in June 1933. She was an artist and illustrator. She died on September 7th 1966 in Redding Ridge Connecticut. She was survived by a brother, the Rev. Paul Straeter of Bad Godesberg, Germany and two sisters, Dore Meschede of Bigge West Germany and Elizabeth Roothaan of the Netherlands, plus several nieces and nephews She was buried in Ridge CemeteryADVERTISEMENT BYLooking for more information?
