Angelo Eugenio Colautti of Sparks, Washoe County, NV was born on August 9, 1903 in Italy to Giuseppe Colautti and Maddalena (Pasutti) Colautti. He had siblings Luigi Colautti and Attilio Colautti. Angelo was baptized in 1903 at Chiesa san Lorenzo in Orcenico Superiore, Province of Pordenone County, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. He was the parent of Madaline "Maddalena" Colautti. He married Ermeline Fereira (DeField) Colautti, and they had children Madaline Colautti and Rose Marie Colautti. Angelo Colautti died at age 90 years old on November 3, 1993 in Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada United States, and was buried at Not buried; ashes in possession of daughter Madaline in USA.

  • Introduction

    Angelo Eugenio Colautti was the partriarch of his family in America and my father. He emigrated from the small village Orcenico Superiore, a frazione of the commune of Zoppola, in the province of Pordenone, region, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Italia in 1921. He was the eldest son of Giuseppe and Maddalena Pasutti Colautti. His brothers were Luigi and Attilio. He traveled to America aboard the Genoese ship "Duca degli Abruzzi" with two friends from his village, and a cousin, Angelo Pasutti.. Papa told us he spent most of the time being seasick. He was 17 years old.

Angelo Colautti, b Orcenico Superiore, Zoppola, Pordenone, Friuli-Venezia, Italy.  Came to America 5/12/1921 on the ship Duca degli Abruzzi.  Father of Madaline/Madelyn/Maddalena (all the same daughter-name as spelled on birth certificate, changed spelling in 8th grade, prefers now Maddalena,, the name Papa intended her to have in memory of his Mother) & Rose Marie, grandfather of Angelo, Madelyn & Suzette. On the Wall of Honor @ Ellis Island.and the Flag of Faces at the Ellis Island website.
Photo taken by granddaughter Suzette,1983. Papa was 80. Such a dear wonderful father, such a beautiful face..

What a dear unassuming person he was. He had a quiet dignity, and always put himself last. To my sister and me he was the dearest and most loving father. Everyone who met him liked him.
