Ann Jane (Conning) Jarvis was born in 1845 to Robert Conning and Catherine (Green) Conning, and had siblings Peter Stewart Conning and Robert Conning. She married William John Jarvis, and had children William Robert Charles Jarvis and Florence Maud (Jarvis) Adams. Ann Jarvis died at age 31 years old on September 21, 1877 in Hobart, Tasmania Australia, and was buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery in New Town, City of Hobart County, TAS.

Dr. Nicholson, William John Jarvis, only son of Mr. John Jarvis, of Alcey Craig, Glenorchy, to Annie Jane, of Melbourne, only daughter of the late Mr. Robert Conning, Isle of Whithorn, Scotland.
