It provided an audience measurement system that could provide radio station owners with information on their listeners and the popularity of their shows. Later, the Nielsen company became the basis for the fate of television programs.

In 1936, at the age of just 13 years old, Ann was alive when on November 3rd, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was reelected to a second term. He ran against Republican Governor Alf Landon (Kansas), defeating Landon in the popular vote by 60.8% to 36.5%. Vermont and Maine were the only two states in which Landon won. John Nance Garner IV became the Vice-President in this election.

Bicycles In Action - The 1800's
Remember your old bike? Bet you loved it and have many fond memories riding around the neighborhood. While these bikes from the 1800's are different from those today, this 1937 video provides an excellent snapshot of bicycle evolution. You've seen pictures, maybe, but seeing them in action is just plain fascinating!
