We called her Aunt Annie. Aunt Annie was my dad, Henry J. Fleck, Jr., great Aunt. And she was a great Aunt. We would visit her often. She would always welcome the whole family. What I remember most was driving to her house. We drove down and old dirt road about 1/4 mile off the main road. We often passed a meadow on that road where there were deer grazing. Aunt Annie seemed to always have fresh bread for us to eat. Cooked on her old black cast iron stove that was a wood stove. We would go into the barn and play. As a little kid we thought it was so neat that she had and outhouse but we never wanted to use that smelly thing. In the winter if we went to see her we had to park at the school up the road and walk through the snow to her house because the road would be snowed shut. She was so special. She passed away when I was only 8 but I still feel the love she had for us. When ever I get a chance I go to the cemetery to visit my grandfather and aunt's grave. I always look for Aunt Annie. Then I drive past the old house. It is a development now. She would have loved the neighbors being that close. Kelly Fleck DeRaymond, Easton PA
